DescriptionFile relates to the ‘Rites of passage’ exhibition (1995), which included work by Hamad Butt, and the acquisition of Hamad's installation 'Familiars' (T14779) in 2015.

Tate letters sent by Nicholas Serota, director; Sionaigh Durrant , assistant registrar;, 'Pip' (possibly Pip Laurenson); Emmanuelle Lepic, exhibitions assistant; Michela Parkin, Modern Collection; Sean Rainbird, assistant keeper, Modern Collection; Ruth Rattenbury, head of the Exhibitions Department, and Helen Sainsbury, exhibitions officer. File includes copy letter from Jamal sent to exhibition co-curator Frances Morris (21 April 1995).
