DescriptionThis small archive collection comprises nine audio cassette tapes - one tape interview with Terry Frost, one with John Bratby, three with Patrick Heron, one with Adrian Heath, one with Paul Feiler and one that is a combination of Paul Feiler and Peter Lanyon. There is also one tape in the collection labelled "Problem Tape"; it is not clear whether this refers to tape damage, quality or content. Interviews have a duration of between 30-60 minutes. In addition to the cassettes there is a typed 25-page (single page, doubled spaced) transcription of the Terry Frost interview, and handwritten letters describing the plans leading up to the interviews; two from Terry Frost and three from Paul Feiler, all addressed to Jack Breckenridge.
Administrative HistoryJack Breckenridge began his 40-year teaching career at Florida State University as a professor of art history and painting which then followed by the position of Emeritus Professor of Art at Arizona State University. As part of his research Breckenridge conducted a series of interviews with artists.
