DescriptionInvitation to Himid (because of her work on his 'Marriage-a-la-mode' series), or Himid and Sulter, to contribute to anthology of essays addressing William Hogarth, to be edited by Rosenthal and Bernadette Fort, professor of French and Italian, Northwestern University. The volume emerges out of a conference held at Northwestern University in conjunction with the exhibition 'William Hogarth reconsidered' curated by Rosenthal and Fort. The anthology, 'The other Hogarth : aesthetics of difference', will be published in 2001.

Rosenthal has sent a copy of Anne Friedrich, Birgit Haehnel, Viktoria Schmidt-Linsenhoff, and Christina Threuter (eds.), 'Projektionen : rassismus und sexismus in der visuellen kultur' (1997), which includes an article about Himid. She thanks both artists for their exhibition at the 6th Feminist Art Historians' Conference, Trier University, Germany (September 1995), from which the book derives.

Ink on fax is fugitive, so difficult to read.
