| Description | Thanks Himid for message through Julian regarding Gabrysch's recent placement at Tate Liverpool. She is working in the new teachers resource area with education officer Catherine Orbach and her assistant Naomi Horlock, alongside a fellow PGCE student (Postgraduate Certificate in Education).
Her work includes developing programmes of study for two new exhibitions, 'The spirit of Cubism' and 'Urban'.
Since graduating from UCL (University College London), she has had one exhibition, mostly of new photographic work. Unsure what to do, she applied for the PGCE course, having been teaching art and drama in secondary schools. She hopes to mount a second exhibition in July 1999.
Julian told her about Himid's work towards a residency at Tate St. Ives and 'other rather exciting things at the University' (University of Central Lancashire, UCLAN). She hopes Himid can help her to get work as either an artist, a teacher, or both. |
