| Description | Update on the postponed group exhibition 'Transforming the crown : African, Asian, and Caribbean artists in Britain, 1966-1996'. It will now open simultaneously at Caribbean Cultural Center, Studio Museum in Harlem, and Bronx Museum of the Arts (13 October 1997-February 1998).
The letter notes previous exhibitions at Studio Museum (including Wifredo Lam, Romare Bearden, and African-American artists in Paris) and Bronx Museum (including Latin American artists in USA).
The catalogue will be distributed by University of Chicago Press. It is to be hoped that the exhibition will tour nationally. |
