DescriptionOne letter each is addressed to , to Lubaina Himid, and Maud Sulter, Preston.

Both letters are similar in content, and relate to 'Memory walking' exhibition (October-November 1998). Potiki explains personal and professional reasons for delay in updating the artists. She asks Himid to forward slides from the exhibitions 'Gendered visions', 'Transforming the crown', '4 women artists', and 'Portraits & heroes', and hopes to include works from Sulter's 'Noir et blanc' and 'Helas l'heroine' series. Himid and Maud Sulter may wish to do a joint work.

In the letter to Sulter, Potoki discusses possibility of British Council paying for Maud's flight to the exhibition.

Also mentions Creative New Zealand, Michi Itami, Sulter's essay 'Magic carpet fly', Debra Priestly; and Lara Strongman, acting programme manager at City Gallery, succeeding Mary-Louise Browne and Allan Smith.

Both letters annotated.
