| Description | Thanks Himid for agreeing to lecture on 20 November as part of the series 'Hogarth and Englishness'. The working title of her talk is '"A fashionable marriage" : Lubaina Himid will talk about her work as a black woman artist working within the Hogarthian English tradition'.
The other speakers will be Brian Allen, director of studies, Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, London; Diana Donald, Manchester Metropolitan University; Quilley; and David Bindman, University College London. Subjects will include history painting, political prints, James Gillray, Thomas Rowlandson, Foundling Hospital, and the Romantics.
