| Description | Himid has completed the paintings intended for the group exhibition accompanying the Nottingham Trent University conference 'Representing lives : women & auto/biography', Bonington Gallery (30 June-27 July 1997), being curated by Lucas. Himid has 'really enjoyed' making this new work for the show.
She is working on texts for the exhibition and will send these with slides soon.
Himid has a solo exhibition of new material and work from the 'Beach house' series at Harris Museum & Art Gallery, Preston, opening on 14 May. |
