| Description | Comprises fax from Morra (24 July) and handwritten letter for faxing from Himid (25 July).
Morra is convening session 'Diaspora and displacement' at the network's conference (27-30 July 1995) and asks Himid to present on her work, which she calls 'a brilliant engagement in the critical strategies that constitute post-colonial art practice'. Her request is four days before the session takes place.
Himid had previously written to conference organiser Griselda Pollock that she would not be able to present on the day of the session. She will be in Leeds the following day for the opening of the Leeds Art Show at the City Art Gallery, which she selected, and may be able to attend some sessions then. Himid needs more notice when asked to participate in such events. |
