Description
Thanks Himid for slides of her work.
Pollock has loaned the painting she bought from Himid's 'Revenge' series to the Leeds City Art Gallery for at least three years. It is the 'first work by a black woman artist to enter its exhibition halls on a permanent loan'. The university will pay Himid to give a public talk at the gallery about her work.
Pollock is also struggling to write her book 'as a critical feminist in the climate of the 1990s'.
