DescriptionThis letter sent by Barbara Hepworth to Margaret Gardiner concerns general and personal news. Hepworth writes about how lovely her new flat is and asks if Gardiner will be able to visit her over the holidays. She also writes about her difficulties with Nicholson and telling the children about their separation, she says that she expects rumors in London will start 'flying around' and she hopes no one will take sides. She also writes about her work, asking if Gardiner was able to see the ICA show with her figure 'feeling hand' in bronze and if she liked it, as well as writing that her focus now is on herself and her work; 'I have only two thoughts, one to feel my proper strength again and two to finish the work I have to do!'.
