TitleFramed plaque previously outside the Whistler restaurant in dedication to Rex Whistler, inscription reads: 'This room which was painted by Rex Whistler is dedicated to his memory; that of an artist multifarious in aim and accomplishment who excelled in the several arts he practised and of a man of delightful and endearing personality, he was born in Eltham on June 24th 1905 and died fighting for his country at Demouville in Normandy on July 18th 1944.'
