| Description | Additional note by Mary Behrend on TGA 733/1/1421. The letters concern the Trust's finances, maintenance of the Chapel and the sale of Spencer's 'clematis' picture with profits going to the Trust. Eustace Roskill and Stanley Spencer's letters (TGA 733/1/1427-27a) concern the proposed hand over of running the Chapel to Hampshire County Council and the condition of the paintings in the Chapel. Spencer's letter also refers to his painting techniques, varnishing and treatments. |
