DescriptionThe typed letter invites Himid to speak at symposium 'Place-body script : contemporary views on Henry Moore' at University of East Anglia in December 1998. The symposium marks Moore's centenary. Letter mentions one of the organisers, Beckett's colleague Dr Jonathan Meuli.

Enclosed is a symposium programme outlining three main themes. Beckett is organising Theme II, 'Outside and inside the body : carving the skin, and excavating the body'. Programme includes six illustrations of Moore's work.

A postscript to the cover note asks Himid to write her thesis over the summer. Beckett is her supervisor.
