| Description | Following up on telephone conversation about Himid's participation in the Tulipamwe International Artists' workshop, Namibia (23 Apr-8 May 1994). Perhaps Sonia Boyce has been able to tell Himid about her experience at an earlier workshop in Zimbabwe.
Kindersley met with Annie Symonds, assistant director, British Council, Windhoek, Namibia, who will deal with Himid's ticket and stay.
An exhibition of selected works will open at Namibia's National Gallery on 10 May.
The 'Working Group of Artists' has asked Himid to send images of her work, via Robert Loder at Curtis Brown, Regent Street, London, whom Kindersley will meet later in Johannesburg, South Africa. Loder is a philantropist and collector who set up the eight workshops in Africa; he founded Triangle workshop in 1982 with Anthony Caro. |
