DescriptionInviting Himid and Professor Roger Wilson to contribute texts to the catalogue for Sulter's show 'Syrcas' at Wrexham Art Centre (WAC), 20 May-25 June 1994. Sulter writes :

'"Syrcas" is the Welsh word for circus. The series of large scale photographic prints takes as its subject a child of the syrcas who sadly finds herself in a concentration camp. The piece is set in the 1930's/40's but echoes present day concerns of "ethnic cleansing" and the resurgence in Right Wing terrorism. Although it's a serious piece it will be beautiful!'
